UD Secy for inviting big players to Ranchi Smart City

Principal Secretary, Urban Development and Housing Department, Sunil Kumar, has said that the infrastructure has been developed in Ranchi Smart City, now there is a need to invite some big players here, which will give more impetus to development. He has also directed to issue new guidelines regarding the development of core capital being developed in the GRDA area.

A review meeting of the Urban Development and Housing Department of the State Government was held here on Thursday, in which Kumar reviewed many important state and central sponsored schemes and also gave necessary instructions. In this meeting, senior officials of the Urban Development and Housing Department also gave updated information to the Principal Secretary on urban investment, civic amenities, transport aid, water supply, establishment aid, schemes running under the 15th Finance Commission and their updates.

Next, the schemes like Swachh Bharat Mission, Amrit, Namami Gange etc. running under Ranchi Smart City, GRDA, RRDA, Jhamada and State Urban Development Agency were also reviewed. All the institutions informed the Principal Secretary about the institution and its schemes through power point presentation. In the course of review, the Principal Secretary has given many necessary instructions to all the concerned institutions, which are as follows.

Instructions to Ranchi Smart City Corporation

The process of tender and DPR should be started for river front development and other park development in Ranchi Smart City area. GIS substation is connected to Hatia grid, take forward the process of connecting it to Budhmu grid. Start sending AI based challan from Command Control and Communication Center immediately.

Start the process of e-auction and try to get some big players to invest in Smart City. For this, big companies should be given a tour of the infrastructure built in Ranchi Smart City ABD area.

Instructions to Greater Ranchi Development Authority

The Principal Secretary instructed the GRDA officials to issue notices to all the institutions and get information about their work plan, why they have taken the land here and why the development work has not started on it. Issue a guideline for the institutions taking land in the core capital area as to what kind of development can be done here. What will be the method of development in this area, how will the buildings be, all these things should be in the SOP. It is also necessary to determine the time limit for construction.

Instructions to Ranchi Regional Development Authority

While passing the map, give information about the width of the surrounding roads, FAR etc. during construction. Ensure compliance with bylaws and master plan. Deputation to important posts will be done soon.

Jharkhand Mineral Area Development Authority, Dhanbad

Make available the status of 3522 acres of land available in the authority area. Make a development plan there on the lines of Ranchi Smart City, the government will help. Beautification should be done around Topchanchi Lake. Develop infrastructure near Topchanchi lake to attract tourists.

Speed up the plans for solid waste management in urban areas. Where there is a problem of non-availability of land or NOC, the department should establish coordination and talk to the district administration. Speed up the work of DPR, tender and administrative approval related to Swachhata, Amrit Yojana and Namami Gange projects. During the pipeline work, JUSCO should ensure that they do not do road cutting, especially do not touch the black top road, if very necessary then repair the road immediately.

State Urban Development Agency Director Amit Kumar, Additional Secretary of the Department Manohar Marandi, Additional Secretary Gyanendra Kumar, Director Urban Administration Satyendra Kumar, Ranchi Municipal Corporation Administrator Sandeep Singh, Joint Secretary Urban Development Department Deepak Dubey, Joint Secretary Jyotsna Singh along with officials of SUDA, DMA, JUSCO, Ranchi Smart City Corporation, GRDA, RRDA were present in the meeting.
