Madhya Pradesh Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar inaugurated the Founder’s Week Celebration organized by the Maharana Pratap Education Council in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, on Wednesday.
The event was presided over by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and chief patron of the council, Yogi Adityanath.In his address, Speaker Tomar praised Yogi Adityanath for restoring Uttar Pradesh’s ancient glory. "There was a time when people hesitated to visit Uttar Pradesh.
Today, the state is setting new benchmarks of development," he remarked.Highlighting the contributions of the Maharana Pratap Education Council, Tomar commended its role in holistic educational development. He credited Digi Vijay Nath Ji Maharaj, the council's founder, for planting the seeds of education that have now flourished into a vast tree under the guidance of Mahant Yogi Adityanath.
He also lauded Yogi Adityanath for his dual leadership in spiritual guidance and promoting action-oriented development.The Maharana Pratap Education Council is operated by the Shri Gorakshpeeth, Gorakhnath Temple, Gorakhpur.
Established in 1932 by Yuga Purush Brahmalin Mahant Digvijay Nath Ji Maharaj, the council celebrates its Founder’s Week annually from December 4 to 10. Various institutions, including Deendayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University and Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, along with over 70 other educational institutions in Gorakhpur district, participate in the weeklong events.During the event, Speaker Tomar also joined a grand procession aimed at spreading awareness on contemporary national and social issues.
He took the salute at an impressive parade organized as part of the celebrations, marking the occasion with great enthusiasm and significance.
