Students to protest at JCC Office

Monday, 16 December 2024 | PNS | Ranchi

The matter of "alleged paper leak" in JSSC CGL does not seem to stop. Candidates from various districts gathered in Ranchi today on Sunday regarding this. Students will surround and protest at the JSSC office located in Namkum, Ranchi.

Security arrangements have been tightened outside the JSSC office in view of the students' siege of the office. Ranchi district administration is also on alert mode. Barricading has been done in the entire ground. At the same time, about 2500 soldiers and officers are deployed on the spot for security arrangements. Also, two layers of security have been done on the road leading to the JSSC office.

Apart from this, fire brigade, water cannon and Vajra vehicles are also deployed. Tents have been put up for the police administration outside the JSSC office and barricading has been done in the entire ground. The JSSC office premises are being monitored with drones. All movements are also being videographed. Let us tell you that CM Hemant Soren has handed over the investigation of the "alleged paper leak" case in JSSC CGL to the CID.

On Saturday, DIG Anup Birathre visited the commission's office in Namkum and inspected the security arrangements. During this, he gave necessary instructions to the policemen engaged in security. Movement has been stopped 100 meters before the JSSC office. Two layers of barricading have been done here. At the same time, Section 163 has been implemented within 500 meters of the JSSC office and Sadabahar Chowk, which will remain till December 20.

Meanwhile, the commission also held a press conference on Saturday and termed all the allegations of paper leak as baseless. The secretary of the commission said that there was no irregularity of any kind in the examination held on September 21 and 22. Giving information about the candidates shortlisted for the examination, he said that out of 2231 candidates, 2145 are residents of Jharkhand and 83 percent of them are from the reserved category.

Jharkhand Staff Commission conducted the JSSC CGL exam on 21 and 22 September 2024. Students say that the paper has been leaked and sold by shutting down the internet on the day of the exam.

At the same time, the commission has been denying all such allegations. After the elections are over, the commission has released the list of shortlisted students of the exam and has called them for document verification from December 16.

Even before this, the JSSC CGL exam was conducted in January, in which the paper was leaked. After this the exam was canceled.
