Reacting to the fourth list of candidates of the AAP for the upcoming assembly polls in the national Capital, the Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva on Sunday hit out at the ruling party and its Convenor Arvind Kejriwal, stating that the list exposes him as a ‘symbol of corruption and misgovernance’ rather than of change in politics.
He stated that when the former Chief Minister announced the first 32 candidates for the assembly elections, it seemed he was being cautious and putting the burden of his government’s anti-incumbency on the MLAs. “However, today’s fourth candidate list clearly reveals that in the first three lists, only those MLAs who could not negotiate with the party were sidelined,” the state BJP chief said.
Sachdeva also referred to the viral video statement of Janakpuri MLA Rajesh Rishi and said that it underscores that Kejriwal’s election surveys ultimately get influenced by money. Attacking on the candidate selection, the senior BJP leader said that the latest list highlights that Arvind Kejriwal has rewarded individuals such as gangster Naresh Balyan, anarchist Sanjeev Jha, corrupt Amanatullah Khan, women harasser Somnath Bharti, ticket seller Akhilesh Tripathi, water mafia Dinesh Mohaniya, and Naresh Yadav, accused of disrespecting the Quran.
He concluded by saying that looking at Kejriwal’s candidate list, it is no exaggeration to say that he remains the face of misrule and chaos, just as he was yesterday.
