The Shivling stolen on Diwali night on October 31 in Subhash Colony was found on Wednesday morning in the same place from where it was stolen.
The people of the colony found the Shivling on Wednesday morning at the same place as earlier an unidentified person had stolen this Shivling and now placed it again. The incident was reported from Subhash Colony of Ashoka Garden area. The stolen Shivling was installed under a peepal tree, after finding the Shivling, worship was done there.
According to Ashoka Garden Police, the incident of Shivling theft took place near the church in Subhash Colony. A person named Dinesh Goswami lives here. His daily routine in the morning is of worshipping Shivling and following the routine on November 1, he went to worship Shivling. Seeing the idol missing, he along with other people of the colony informed the police. Police reached the spot and saw that the stone Nandi ji was not stolen, only the Shivling was missing. Police interrogated the people around but did not get any information regarding the accused.
Then the police started investigating the case. People suspected a family living in the colony itself. The head of this family was also interrogated by the police. After this, the Shivling was suddenly installed at the same place from where it was stolen.
The residents used to worship the Shivling installed under the Peepal tree every day.
