St Mary's Convent Sr. Sec. School, Tulsi Nagar celebrated Parents Day with great zeal and enthusiasm in the school campus here on Saturday. It is a unique tradition of the school celebrated every year in the last week of July. On this joyful occasion, a festive atmosphere was created by adorning the walls with colourful charts.
The parents were escorted to the venue by the school cabinet accompanied by the beats of the school band. The cultural event that followed was packed with vibrant and captivating dances, incredibly mellifluous musical performances, an eye opener skit and a heartwarming poem recitation that left the parents overwhelmed with emotions. Rev father Maria Stephen, the dean of the Bhopal deanery graced the occasion as the chief guest.
The other special guests included Parents Teacher Association Ex officio Sanjay Shrivastava, Vice president Akhilesh Jain, Secretary Mrs Lipika Chakravarty, Executive members Bhavna Thakur, Tribhuvan Sharma, Pankaj Kumar Goyal and parent representatives of all classes.
The chief guest in his address, emphasised the importance of a harmonious parent child relationship. The Ex officio and the secretary expressed their deep sense of appreciation for the school and the Teachers for inculcating love and gratitude for parents and elders and other family values in the students. The principal Rev Sr Maria Jagtap and the vice principal Anu Johnson expressed their sincere appreciation to all the parents who dignified the occasion with their presence. The celebration was a memorable experience.
