On the instructions of Indore Collector Ashish Singh, checking action is being taken on school and other vehicles by the Regional Transport Officer Indore Pradeep Sharma.
The speed of the vehicle, speed governor and documents are being checked.
The process of checking vehicles will continue. In the action taken on tuesday by the staff of the Transport Department, more than 50 vehicles of different schools were checked in village Kelod Hala.
During the checking, 3 school vehicles Omni Van, Magic were found operating without documents, which were seized. In other school vehicles, action was taken under various sections of the Motor Vehicles Act for seating more children than the capacity and negligence was found and a fine of more than 52 thousand rupees was imposed against the vehicle operators. Feedback is also being taken from children and parents about the behavior of the driver-conductor.
