In a ceremonious event held at the Collectorate Auditorium, the third installment of the state government's flagship scheme, Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Mainiyaan Samman Yojana, was transferred directly to beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The event was attended by prominent officials, including District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal, MLA Jugsalai Mangal Kalindi, District Council President Bari Murmu, District Council Vice President Pankaj, and PD ITDA Deepankar Chaudhary.
An impressive sum of ₹27 crore 11 lakh was disbursed among 2,71,100 beneficiaries across the district. The MLA Jugsalai ceremoniously transferred the amount by pressing the remote, marking a significant milestone in the government's efforts to promote women's economic empowerment.
In addition to the DBT transfer, acceptance letters were distributed to 10 beneficiaries, with gifts presented as a token of recognition for their participation in the scheme. This initiative is part of the state’s broader strategy to uplift women economically and socially through targeted welfare programs.
During his address, MLA Mangal Kalindi highlighted the state government's commitment to women’s empowerment under the leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren. He emphasized that over 50 lakh women have already been linked to the Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Mainiyaan Samman Yojana, which provides vital financial assistance to women aged 18 to 50 years.
Kalindi urged women to take full advantage of various government schemes, designed to foster both social and economic advancement. Similarly, District Council President Bari Murmu encouraged all women to engage with the state’s welfare programs, ensuring that no one is left behind in the pursuit of financial independence.
The event concluded with a call for greater awareness among citizens to ensure they benefit from the government’s numerous public welfare initiatives aimed at improving the lives of women and their families across Jharkhand.
