As part of its Mission Rozgar initiative, the Uttar Pradesh government is organising Rozgar Melas in Ambedkar Nagar on August 17 and in Ayodhya on August 18.
Over 150 renowned companies will participate in the Rozgar Melas, offering more than 70,000 employment opportunities.
The Rozgar Mela will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The Rozgar Mela is being organised under the aegis of the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission, government industrial training institutes, Directorate of Training and Employment Scheme, and the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises department.
The employment fairs will be held from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
In addition to students trained by the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission and ITIs, other general students will also have the opportunity to participate in the job fairs.
Minister of State for Vocational Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (Independent Charge) Kapil Dev Agarwal highlighted that the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission organises various activities to employ trainees after their training.
”In this context, the Rozgar Mela is being organised. This large-scale employment fair will take place at Acharya Narendra Dev Agricultural University, Kumarganj, Ayodhya on August 18. Over 100 renowned companies will be present, offering more than 50,000 employment opportunities. Participating companies include Accenture, Adani, Bajaj Auto, Chamber of Indian MSME, Flipkart, Honda, Lava International Ltd., Myntra, Nokia, Case Corp, Suzuki Motors, Swiggy, and Tata Motors.,” he said.
On August 17, a Rozgar Mela will be held at the Dev Indravati Mahavidyalaya campus in Katehari, Ambedkar Nagar. At this employment fair, 46 reputed companies will be present, offering over 21,000 job vacancies.
Participating companies will include Barbaric Nation, Chamber of Indian MSME, Flipkart, Lava International, Oreo Biscuits, and Case Corp. This event is being jointly organised by the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission, government ITIs Ambedkar Nagar and the district employment and deputy commissioner industries department of Ambedkar Nagar.

The Yogi government is actively encouraging youth to seek employment opportunities in the private sector alongside government jobs. To support this, various skill development programmes are being implemented. The government aims to secure a significant number of private sector jobs for youth through these Rozgar Melas in 2024.
As a result of the efforts of the Yogi government, in seven and a half years, more than six and a half lakh youth have been successful in securing government jobs, while more than 3.75 lakh youth have been employed through contract. At the same time, employment has been provided to two crore people under the private sector/MSMEs.
