Ram Temple stands exactly where it was resolved to be built: CM

Tuesday, 23 January 2024 | PNS | Ayodhya

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath shared his feelings following the completion of the Pran Pratishtha of the ‘Bal-roop vigraha’ (child form) of Lord Ram in Ayodhya Dham. Expressing deep satisfaction, the chief minister remarked, “the temple has been constructed exactly where it was resolved to be built.”

“Prabhu Shri Ram Lalla ki Jai! Sarayu Maiya ki Jai! Bharat Mata ki Jai! Jai Jai Shri Sita Ram! Hearty congratulations to all of you as Lord Shri Ram Lalla is enshrined in his  bhavya-divya-navya dham,” the chief minister asserted, adding that on this eagerly anticipated day, after a hiatus of 500 years, emotions swell in the heart to a degree where words fail to capture the profound sentiments.

The mind is immersed in a sea of emotions, profoundly moved and overwhelmed. Undoubtedly, each of you must be experiencing a similar sentiment, he added.

“Today, on this historic and profoundly sacred occasion, every city and village in India transforms into Ayodhya Dham. Every route converges toward the birthplace of Shri Ram,” the chief minister said.

All eyes are wet with tears of joy and satisfaction. And, everyone is chanting ‘Ram, Ram’. The whole nation is ‘Rammaya’, giving us a feeling that we have stepped into the era of Treta Yuga. Today, Raghunandan Raghav Ram Lalla graces the throne of our resolution, which is filled with emotions. Joy, pride and a profound sense of contentment fill the hearts of every devotee of Ram on this auspicious day, he pointed out.

“Finally, the day India had eagerly awaited has arrived. Nearly five centuries have passed in anticipation of this emotional moment. Dozens of generations left this land for ‘Saketdham’ (heaven) with unfulfilled wishes, but the wait and the struggle continued. Shri Ram Janmabhoomi might have been the first such unique case in the world, in which the majority community of a nation had fought for so many years and at so many levels for the construction of a temple at the birthplace of their idol in their own country,” the chief minister said.

The chief minister claimed that every section of society, including ascetics, saints, priests, Nagas, Nihangs, intellectuals, politicians and tribals rose above caste-creed, thought-philosophy, cult-worship systems and dedicated themselves to the cause of Ram.” Finally, today marks the auspicious occasion when the sacrifices and penance of millions of Sanatani believers find fulfillment. There is a deep sense of satisfaction that the temple stands exactly where it was resolved to be built,” he added.

“Heartfelt gratitude and congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the realisation of our ‘sankalp’ (pledge) and ‘sadhna’ (asceticism) for bringing an end to our prolonged wait, and for the fulfillment of our resolution!” he said.

The chief minister said that on January 22, the world witnessed the consecration of the ‘bal-roop vigraha’ of Lord Ram in the sanctum sanctorum of the newly-constructed temple in accordance with Vedic rituals. “It is a ‘supernatural’ image of our Lord, precisely as described by Saint Tulsidas: ‘Navkanj lochan, kanj mukh, kar kanj, pad kanjarunam (With freshly bloomed lotus-like eyes, lotus-like face, lotus-like hands and feet as tender as a lotus.) Blessed is the artist who gave concrete shape to the image of Ram Lalla that resides in our hearts and minds,” he said.

“Shri Ram Janmabhoomi mukti mahayajna was not merely a test of Sanatan belief; it successfully awakened the collective consciousness of the nation, uniting India in the thread of unity. Witnessing this long-awaited new dawn unfold in India after centuries, the whole of India, including Ayodhya, is filled with joy,” he said, adding that the present generation was fortunate to witness the completion of this work in the service of Lord Ram.

The chief minister said today, Ayodhya was basking in the radiance of its Treta Yuga glory, becoming a global symbol of divinity and grandeur. He said this sacred city was progressively solidifying its position as the cultural capital of the world, captivating the attention of people worldwide.

Chief Minister Yogi said this remarkable transformation had been made possible through the resolute determination, willpower and foresight of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“Just a few years ago, envisioning an airport in Ayodhya was beyond imagination. Yet, here we are, with an airport, a 4-lane road within the city, and the introduction of cruises along the river Sarayu. This dream is coming true due to the efforts of the double-engine government,” he said.

He said the work of rejuvenation, conservation, operation and maintenance of various places like Ram Ki Paidi, Naya Ghat, Guptar Ghat, Brahmakund, etc. was being done in Ayodhya along with cultural mapping of the Ramayana tradition while the process of constructing Ramayana galleries on the Ram Van Gaman Path was going on.

Chief Minister Yogi pointed out that the new Ayodhya not only preserves its ancient culture and civilisation but also embraces modern urban development to cater to future needs. He said inspired by the prime minister, Ayodhya was evolving into a ‘Solar City’ that harmonized tradition with contemporary urban amenities. “Navya Ayodhya is moving towards becoming a major centre for Sanatan believers, saints, tourists, researchers and inquisitive people from all over the world,” he added.

The chief minister said that the ‘Divya Deepotsav’ of Ayodhya was becoming the cultural identity of the new India and the consecration of Ram Lalla was proving to be a harmonious expression of the cultural conscience of India.

“The consecration of Ram Lalla in Awadhpuri heralds the proclamation of the establishment of Ram Rajya in India,” he added.

The chief minister thanked all the architects, engineers, craftsmen and officials of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust who contributed to making the dream of a grand divine Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple come true.
