With the presence of moisture in the atmosphere, there are chances of light rain in the second half of the day. Thunderstorm and lighting activity is also on the cards. For the next few days, the maximum temperature is expected to increase by 2 to 4 degrees as the cloud cover will clear,” said Director MET Centre, Ranchi Abhishek Anand.
Monsoon enters from Kerala and withdraws from Rajasthan. The expected date of it withdrawing from the western state is September 17 but this year it started receding on September 23. This delays its withdrawal from Jharkhand as well. It starts receding from Jharkhand around the second week of October but this time it is expected to start withdrawing around October 12 as of now.
