Punjab State Election Commission on Sunday unveiled ‘Local Bodies Poll Activity Monitoring System’ (LBPAMS) — a new online application designed to facilitate election officials and the public during the Gram Panchayat Elections 2024. The initiative, available on the Commission’s website, aims to modernize electoral processes and ensure free, fair, and transparent elections.
State Election Commissioner Raj Kamal Chaudhuri emphasized that LBPAMS introduces greater transparency and streamlining in election management. The system will be utilized for October 15 gram panchayat elections as well as future Municipal and Zila Parishad or Block Samiti elections.
Key features of LBPAMS include online voter electoral rolls, easy access to nomination forms, real-time event monitoring, and one-stop dashboard for officials to track election activities.
