Prof Anand Tripathi elaborates on Bharatiya Nyay Samhita during lecture

The Government of India has completely abolished sedition and in its place, provisions have been included for acts that pose a threat to the unity, integrity and sovereignty of India through disruptive ideology.

Earlier, there was no definition of terrorism, but now for the first time, separatism, armed rebellion, destructive activities, separatism, challenge to the unity, sovereignty and integrity of India have been defined in this law and the right to seize the properties related to it has also been given.

Anand Kumar Tripathi, Adjunct Pro VC of Rashtriya Raksha Vishwavidyalaya Gandhinagar, Gujarat, said this during a special lecture organized under a special series at Makhanlal Chaturvedi National Institute of journalism and Communication, LNCT University and Sage University on the occasion of completion of two decades of a news portal in Bhopal.

Indian culture is the basis of the Nyay Samhita. In a special lecture in the Department of Mass Communication of MCU on the Bharatiya Nyay Samhita, Anand Tripathi mentioned many laws of the current Nyay Samhita citing the examples of many texts of Indian literature, Gita, Ramcharit Manas and the works of modern writers like Maithili Sharan Gupta etc. Tripathi also recited an excerpt from his poetic composition keeping the Bharatiya Nyay Samhita at the center in a very interesting way. He said that the rules of the Samhita can be conveyed to the common people in a very simple language.

Earlier, senior journalist Sarman Nageele, while giving the background of the topic, during the interaction with the students, informed them about the possibilities and necessary skills of journalism in digital media. He shared his experience with the students and gave information about the main aspects of parliamentary reporting and election journalism and suggested to pay attention to the authenticity of the information. Tripathi answered the queries of the students on the legal problems arising in the present time and resolved their queries. Department Head Aarti Sarang welcomed the guests. The program was conducted by Dr. Pradeep Deharia. Senior Assistant Professor of the Department Dr. Lal Bahadur Ojha expressed his gratitude. On this occasion, all the faculty members and students including the Professor of the Department, former DG of IIMC, Professor Sanjay Dwivedi were present.

During a special lecture on Bharatiya Nayay Samhita at School of Journalism and Mass Communication and School of Legal Studies, LNCT University, Bhopal, Anand Kumar Tripathi, Adjunct Pro Vice Chancellor, Rashtriya Raksha University, Gujarat, as the chief guest, mentioned the provisions of the Nyay Samhita and said that most of the crimes of IPC have been retained in the BNS. In this, community service has also been included as punishment in section 4. Apart from this, while explaining the provisions mentioned in the BNS  in detail, the frameworks governed by religion and law were also discussed. During the program, senior journalist and M.P. While introducing the topic, the Chief Editor of the Post,  Sarman Nageele, while interacting with the students, informed them about the possibilities of journalism in digital media and the required skills. He shared his experiences with the students and suggested to pay attention to the authenticity of the information, giving information about the main aspects of parliamentary reporting and election journalism. LNCT Group Secretary Dr. Anupam Chaukse welcomed the keynote speaker and speakers with shawl and coconut.
