Police Commissioner talks to field officers to maintain peace

In view of peace and security during Durga Utsav/Navratri festival, Police Commissioner Harinarayanachari Mishra held a meeting of gazetted officers and station in-charges in the Commissioner's Office Auditorium on Tuesday.

Additional Police Commissioner Awadhesh Goswami, Additional Police Commissioner Pankaj Srivastava and all Deputy Commissioners of Police, Additional Deputy Commissioners of Police, Assistant Commissioners of Police and Station in-charges were present in the said meeting.

In the meeting, Police Commissioner Mishra reviewed the preparations for the installation of Durga idols, Ramleela, Gharba Festival, Path Sanchalan, Procession and Chal Samaroh of RSS, Dussehra Festival, Ravana Dahan and idol immersion etc. station wise and then directed that all the station in-charges should compulsorily inspect the Durga Pandal, Garba site, CCTV cameras, lighting and procession route and idol immersion site in their police station area.

Organize a meeting of Nagar Raksha Samiti and eminent citizens and make them aware of the guidelines of the government and senior officials and keep patrolling the areas with idol sites.

Specially deploy women police force for the safety of women at Garba and tableau sites, along with this, take the help of volunteers and members of Nagar Raksha Samiti.

Keep an eye on anti-social elements and social media and ensure preventive action against goons, miscreants and habitual criminals. In case of any untoward incident, immediately inform the control room and senior officers.
