Police need to be trained on the basis of electronic intelligence gathering, investigation is successful only when the criminal is punished, said Director of National Judicial Academy and former Supreme Court judge Aniruddha Bose national seminar held at Central Police Training Academy Bhopal regarding police working, improvement in training and police ethics and skill development.
Referring to the 'Sanitize the Mind of Police Force at the Police Station' level, Justice Bose said that a lot of attention also needs to be paid to the investigation of the police personnel of the police station. When an FIR is registered verbally or electronically in police stations, its videography is also a need of the day.
He said that the Code of Justice gives us the strength to fight crime. For this, it is necessary to develop huge skills in the police.
Referring to the nature of crime reaching the international level, he said that money laundering, arms trade, narcotics, crypto currency, and darknet are now not local level crimes, but international level crimes and subtlety is necessary in its investigation.
The agenda of the two-day national seminar is to improve the working-training of the police and develop the ethics and skills of the police.
Justice Bose said that in the changing times, criminals have started using new techniques of crime. This has started creating a complex situation in the work of the police. The police have a huge response in the country and the world and training is required to maintain it.
He also said that the police force has to keep in mind that they are the face of the state after 5 pm. Every person who comes to the police station brings positive thinking for himself, he should also keep in mind.
Referring to the data of NCRB 2022, Justice Bose said that there are more than one lakh sub-inspectors in more than 18000 police stations in the country. Even after this, more than 8 lakh cases are pending for investigation. There is a need to reduce this. Before this, information was given about the objective of this 39th symposium which will be of two days.
Chiefs and representatives of all state police and central armed police forces are joining together in the seminar to be held under the direction of Rajiv Kumar Sharma, Director General, Bureau of Police Research and Development.
