New York based NRI Indu and Shyam Gajwani have initiated the cataract surgeries of 100 poor eye patients in a 3 day camp held at Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital. These patients were brought from nearby places like Badi, Bareli, Seoni Malwa and Gandhi Nagar.
In all 275 out eye patients were diagnosed, of them 100 patients identified for their cataract surgeries. This camp was organized jointly by Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital, Jeev Sewa Sansthan and Long Island Indo American Lions Club. On this occasion office bearers of SSEH Managing Trustee AC Sadhwani, Trustee Rajkumar Moolchandani, Dr. Deepak Jhangiyani and Executive Officer P.S. Rathor were also present.
The founder chair person of the club Indu Gajwani and her spouse Shyam have inquired about well being of the patients and medical facilities being rendered by the SSEH. The patients openly appreciated the quality of treatment and service spirit of volunteers.
Philanthropist couple distributed food to the patients. Mahesh Dayaramani Secretary JSS, told them that over 2.35 lakh free cataract surgeries have so far been performed in last 37 years in the hospital. The SSEH is not only eradicating blindness from the society but also trying to enhance the human development.
