Under the mental health program of National Health Mission, Jharkhand, a one- day training on stress management at workplace was given to the personnel at Hotel Holiday Home in Ranchi on Tuesday. Dr Nishant Goyal of CIP Ranchi said that stress at the workplace is an integral part of life.
“In fact, stress goes along with our life and when life ends, stress also ends. There is a need to understand stress, reduce it and increase productivity by keeping it behind. Being physically healthy is not good health, it is important to be mentally healthy as well. Only if you are mentally healthy, you will be able to work on priority basis,” said Goyal. He also emphasised that staying in touch with each other, sharing problems with each other and talking is also important for mental health and that it is possible to solve many problems of the world through conversation.
BK Indu of the spiritual organisation Brahma Kumari said that work does not give stress at the workplace, but the way it is done and how you look at that work, definitely causes stress. “There is no stress if the work is done on time and properly. You cannot change the whole world but you can definitely bring about a change in yourself. Just like lighting a bulb in a room spreads light in the whole room, in the same way the whole family benefits from the spiritual meditation of one person at home,” stated BK Indu.
Associate Professor of RINPAS Dr. PK Singh said that if one hour is taken out in 24 hours for yoga practice and physical activities, then many problems get solved by this. Singh said that the time of waking up in the morning, defecation time, meal time and sleeping time at night should be fixed and when their pattern changes, then the problem starts. Singh also advised children and teenagers to stay away from mobile. During the training, he also introduced various dimensions of yoga.
