Newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of Nanaji Deshmukh Veterinary Science University, Professor Mandeep Sharma conducted a two-day inspection of Rewa College.
During the visit, the VC reviewed all departments and took stick of their activities. He visited Medicine, Surgery, Gynaecology, and Diagnostics departments at the veterinary clinic complex and instructed for an enhancement of facilities.Professor Sharma also visited the two girls' hostel facilities and listened to student grievances and suggestions. He also had lunch with the students.
The VC later issued Instructions to the hostel wardens and the Dean of the college to address issues raised by the students at the earliest.
The VC toured various departments, met teachers, and gathered information about the ongoing activities in their respective departments. Acting Dean, Dr. Nitesh Kumar, briefed Prof. Sharma on various academic and research activities at the college and discussed research projects with the VC.
Livestock area, including goat farming, poultry farming, pig farming, dairy, fodder production, and milk processing units, were also visited and requisite directives were issued for improvements at these facilities.Addressing students at the culmination of his maiden visit to the campus, the VC assured students that all complaints would be addressed promptly. He also encouraged students to participate in national and international competitions.
He also met all college faculty members and instructed them that each department should have at least one externally funded project.
The Vice-Chancellor advised all department and unit heads to maintain discipline, adhere to current regulations, and regularly meet with faculty to develop and implement future work plans. Having assumed office on 16 August, the Vice-Chancellor has already inspected all colleges and units under the university and met with faculty, staff, and students within a month.
