With few regions receiving good rainfall most of the places across the state witnessed drizzle, Damoh received 20 mm i.e., 45 inches of rain in 9 hours. Bhopal received drizzle during the day. Narmadapuram also received light rain. On the other hand, the day temperature also increased.
The mercury was recorded at 35.8 degrees Celsius in Khajuraho. With the rain in Damoh, the day temperature reached 34.2 degrees Celsius. Bhopal recorded 34.8 degree Celsius. Similarly, the mercury was recorded above 34 degrees in Mandla, Narsinghpur, Nowgong, Rewa, Satna, Umaria, Guna, Gwalior, Narmadapuram, Ratlam, Ujjain.
Monsoon will lash the state once again before its departure. Another round of good spell of rain will start in the state from September 24. Due to which the eastern part i.e., Jabalpur, Shahdol, Rewa and Sagar divisions will get good rainfall. The western part i.e., Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Narmadapuram, Gwalior-Chambal division will also receive light rain.
Meteorologist said, a system is over Gujarat and Rajasthan, but it is not strong. Due to this, there will be no rain. Light rain and thundershowers will continue in some districts. A new system is becoming active from September 24. After this, there can be a rainy season in the state once again.
Out of more than 250 dams in the state, about 200 are full. Many gates have been opened 8 to 10 times.
