Renewing its appeal to both government departments and private consumers to clear their electricity dues on time, the central region power distributor on Monday made public the names of defaulters who owe tens of lakhs to the electricity supplier.The Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company (MKVVCL) stated that the list of defaulters, publicized on its website, will be updated each Monday, and names of those who have cleared their dues will be removed from the list.
Topping the list this week are three government agencies that owe between Rs 15 lakhs and Rs 45 lakhs to the company.Private parties on the list include both commercial establishments and domestic consumers who owe the company between Rs 6 lakhs and Rs 11 lakhs. The MKVVCL is the central region power distributor responsible for the supply of electricity in 16 districts of the Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Gwalior, and Chambal divisions of Madhya Pradesh.The company also publicizes the list of top defaulters on its social media channels and advises people to be prompt in depositing their electricity dues to avoid embarrassment.
