A minor boy was allegedly raped by a neighbor who used to show him adult pictures in Delhi’s Bindapur area.

According to the police on Thursday, a complaint was received on Wednesday night about sexual assault with a child. The accused, who is a resident of Bihar, was residing nearby to the family of the victim child and is currently absconding, according to police sources.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) Ankit Singh said, “A PCR call was received at Bindapur police station at around 9:29 pm about sexual assault with a child. On this police reached and met mother of the child.”

He added that during police enquiry, it transpired that victim has been sexually assaulted by one neighbour who has run away from the rented house. “Victim was taken to Deen Dayal Upadhyay (DDU) hospital for medical examination where he was medically examined with A/H/O sexual and physical assault,” Singh stated, adding that the mother said that her son was having problem in rectum while going to bathroom.

The statement of mother was recorded in the case where she stated that her son had problem in rectum while going to bathroom and later revealed that one neighbor who was staying on rent in same building sexually assaulted him and used to show him porn pictures on mobile.

A case under section six of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and 351(2) (Criminal intimidation) of Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) has been registered. “Sincere efforts are being taken to nab the accused and further investigation is ongoing,” the DCP stated.

A police source said that it is still unclear if the accused was a major.
