The Ministry of MSME organised the Composite Competitiveness Workshop under the World Bank supported “Raising & Accelerating MSME Performance” (RAMP Programme), the second amongst the series of workshops planned to raise awareness amongst MSMEs to catalyse their growth and competitiveness on 06th September in Ranchi, Jharkhand.
The workshop generated awareness about various initiatives of the Ministry of MSME which include the existing schemes of the Ministry as well as the new initiatives launched under the RAMP Programme.
The MSMEs were provided awareness about the RAMP Schemes as well which include - Scheme on Online Dispute Resolution for Delayed Payments, MSE Green Investment and Financing for Transformation (MSE GIFT), MSE Scheme for Promotion and Investment in Circular Economy (MSE SPICE), MSME Trade Enablement and Marketing (TEAM) Initiative, Udyami Bharat Portal and other efforts supported under RAMP like TReDS and ESG etc.
The event was addressed by Vinamra Mishra (Director - MoMSME), Ankita Pandey (Director - MoMSME), Shashi Ranjan (MD – JIADA), Varun Ranjan (MD – JIIDCO), Himanshu Mohan (CEO - Mukhyamantri Laghu Board), Palash Srivastava (CEO – IIFCL Projects), Indrajeet Yadav, Joint Director and HoO, MSME-DFO, Ranchi and other dignitaries.
Vinamra Mishra emphasized upon the changing landscape of the MSME ecosystem and the Ministry’s initiatives for providing support to MSMEs for redressing challenges such as access to market, credit, technology, greening and sustainability of MSMEs.
Ankita Pandey addressed the august gathering and laid stress on the importance of the MSME ecosystem in the Indian economy and stated the contribution of Govt’s schemes and interventions – RAMP, International Cooperation, Yashaswini - in promoting the holistic growth and competitiveness of MSMEs, especially women.
Shashi Ranjan exhorted MSMEs to take full advantage of the knowledge provided through the awareness workshop about the schemes of the government.
Varun Ranjan underlined that the awareness workshop will bridge the knowledge gap and generate awareness about the schemes and interventions of the government for the benefit of MSMEs.
Himanshu Mohan appreciated the efforts taken by the Ministry of MSME under RAMP Programme and the support provided to MSMEs in Jharkhand.
The event saw participation from a large number of MSMEs, industry associations, Central and State Government, banks and financial institutions and PSUs.
