BJP state president Babulal Marandi has written a letter to the Chief Election Commissioner. In the letter, Marandi has requested the Chief Election Commissioner to get the FIR lodged in Pandra OP investigated by the CBI. The letter further states that the alleged lawyer Sujit Kumar has been accused of cheating officers in the name of messaging the ED.
The letter further states that the investigating officer and other police officers associated with the investigation are using this case to extort huge amounts of money from many government officials. At the same time, this case is being used as a tool to implicate opposition political parties on the instructions of government officials. People of the ruling party are working behind this.
Babulal has written in the letter that the amount earned by fraud in the name of ED is being used for elections. Many government officials are under investigation, they are being threatened to manage voting during elections and act as their agents during elections. In this case, the police have arrested Sanjeev Pandey and lawyer Sujit Kumar. They have been kept hidden in various police stations. Babulal has requested the Chief Election Commissioner that this case should be transferred from Police ACB to CBI so that the election can be conducted in a fair and proper manner.
Meanwhile, in other development State BJP spokesperson Ajay Sah targeting JMM/Congress said that instead of reviewing the defeat in Haryana elections, they blamed the entire defeat on EVMs. Also, the derogatory words used against the Election Commission and Central Investigation Agencies clearly show the desperation and disappointment of JMM. These are the same people who had called Kalpana Soren, who became MLA through EVM, a victory of democracy. Despite the huge defeat in the Lok Sabha, they were calling the few seats they won as a victory of democracy. He further said that the RJD in whose lap JMM is sitting today is the same party under whose rule booth capturing was a common occurrence in Bihar. It seems as if the DNA of Congress is entering inside JMM and that is why by following the path of Congress, they are defaming constitutional institutions. The Hemant government is the most frightened and scared government in the history of Jharkhand and this fear is due to the huge anger of the public.
