JMM accuses Modi of lying; says, BJP has no right to speak on nepotism

Tuesday, 05 November 2024 | PNS | Ranchi

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) said, on Monday, that PM Narendra Modi has accused JMM of nepotism and also said that Modi has called nepotism the enemy of Jharkhand. BJP has no right to speak on nepotism, the party added.

Addressing a press meet on this, JMM General Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya said sarcastically that at least BJP has no right to speak on nepotism. He said that in this election, his party has given tickets to both father and son, has given ticket to the wife of a former minister and has given ticket to the daughter-in-law of another former CM.

Bhattacharya also said that BJP has also given ticket to the wife of a convicted former CM this former CM is also a BJP leader. However, he did not take the name of Madhu Koda. He said that this list is long. The JMM leader said, similarly yesterday BJP's Amit Shah also released a Sankalp Patra. This is a bundle of lies. He said that in true sense PM Modi has no issue to speak in Jharkhand, he added.

JMM General Secretary said that the JMM Government got the proposal to include Ho language in the Eighth Schedule passed in the cabinet and Modi says this is Modi's guarantee. Why is Sarna Dharma Code not Modi's guarantee, he added.

Bhattacharya took a dig at the double engine Government and said that till 2019 there was a double engine Government in the state, what happened in this double engine government, how many industries were set up here and how many were closed. He told PM Modi that the Country cannot run like this. He said that PM Modi had gone to Jamshedpur before the elections and flagged off the Vande Bharat train. He said that nine Vande Bharats are being run by the Railway Ministry and additional three Vande Bharats are being run by Modi. He said that he has nothing to say. He has been saying the same thing that Jharkhand is being insulted but the country is being insulted because of the BJP.

JMM General Secretary said that further said, Modi told that before 2014, overseas Indians were ashamed to call themselves Indians but the truth is that since 2014, 2 lakh 20 thousand Indians have given up their citizenship. "All these people preferred to live abroad. He said that this report is of your Ministry of External Affairs and Ministry of Home Affairs. This report is also present in the Parliament. He said that a lie like Garhwa cannot be told in the Parliament. A lie like Chaibasa cannot be told," he added.

The JMM Leader further said, the PM said that roads will be built here, industries will be set up. He said when there was a double engine government, why did all this not happen. He said, Jharkhand Momentum program was held but what is the result, 5 acres of land was given to a bread seller. He said that at that time a term came into existence, Earth Breaking Ceremony, meaning that something came up by breaking the earth.

Bhattacharya further said, similarly PM Modi told another lie. He said that as soon as the government was formed in Haryana, one lakh jobs were given and that too without any slip or any expenses. He said that after listening to the PM's speech, a person from Haryana called him and asked him to ask PM Modi who has got a job in Haryana. He said that even advertisements have not been issued in Haryana, so where did the slips come from? He said that in Chaibasa, people left the meeting venue even before PM Modi reached there. He said that people were brought to the meeting by driving them. When it got late, people thought that they did not have to vote, so why listen to the speech.
