Different trends of weather were seen in the city on the first day of New Year and Chaitra Navratri. There was strong sunlight from morning till afternoon. At the same time, it became cloudy after 3 pm. Along with strong wind, it started raining in many areas of the city. According to meteorologists, the weather will remain like this till night.
According to the Meteorological Department, the effect of cyclonic circulation, trough line and western disturbance is also visible in Bhopal. It has been raining in the city for the last 2 days. Similar weather will continue for the next 4 days. The Meteorological Department has also issued an alert of storm, rain, lightning along with hailstorm.
There has been some relief from the heat due to rain. The night temperature has dropped by 2 degrees. Whereas on Monday the day temperature was 35.8 degrees. There is a slight drop in temperature expected on Tuesday also.
The period of thunderstorms and rains will continue in Madhya Pradesh for the next 7-8 days i.e. till 15th April. There was heavy rain in Bhopal after 3 pm on Tuesday afternoon. Water also fell in Vidisha and Shajapur. Clouds rained after the storm in Raisen.
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather in the state has changed due to cyclonic circulation, trough line and western disturbance. Rain is also expected in 42 districts and hailstorm in 4 districts on Tuesday.
The system will be stronger in Chhindwara, Seoni, Balaghat, Mandla and Dindori. In Betul, Pandhurna, Chhindwara, Mandla, Seoni, Balaghat, Jabalpur, Damoh, Katni, Umaria and Dindori, storms can blow at a speed of 40 to 50 km.
Senior scientist of IMD Bhopal said that there will be similar weather on April 11-12. Another Western Disturbance will be active on 10-11 April. This will make the existing system even stronger. Due to this, the weather will remain like this for a week.
Due to Western Disturbance, there are sometimes rainy periods in North India. Along with lightning and thunder, it also rains.
The average rainfall in Bhopal in April is 4.8 mm. It rains for one to two days.
