On August 19, 2024, a crucial inter-district coordination meeting was held at Zaika Resort in Bokaro, chaired by Praveen Kumar Singh, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Chas. This meeting was a preparatory step for the upcoming Assembly Elections, with a specific focus on enhancing cross-border coordination between the police forces of Jharkhand and West Bengal, particularly in the Madhupur-Najar area.
Noably High-ranking police officers from the bordering districts of both states actively participated, sharing strategies to ensure a smooth and secure election process. The key objectives of the meeting included maintaining law and order, curbing cross-border criminal activities, and ensuring peaceful conduct during the elections. Participants from West Bengal included SDPOs Gaurav Ghosh and Rohit Shekh, among other officers, while the Bokaro contingent was led by SDPOs Praveen Kumar Singh and Vashishth Narayan Singh, along with other senior officers.
