Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that on the 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Ahilya Devi, her public welfare efforts will be highlighted and shared with the people. In today's State Cabinet meeting, her significant contributions to enhancing the nation's cultural pride and promoting good governance were honored.

Yadav, addressing the ministers before the Cabinet meeting today, said that the upcoming cabinet meeting will take place in Maheshwar, Khargone district. He mentioned that a series of events will be organized to familiarize the nation with the works of Lokmata Ahilya Devi. Dr. Yadav highlighted how Lokmata Ahilya Devi not only utilized state resources but also used her personal funds to carry out significant public welfare initiatives. He also discussed the Khasgi Trust of the Holkar family, which traditionally allocated 25 percent of the husband's income to the wife. Lokmata Ahilya Devi constructed temples and public facilities across the country through her personal funds.

The Madhya Pradesh government has established a 14-member committee to oversee various programs aimed at implementing Ahilya Devi's vision for self-reliance and public welfare. A roadmap is being developed in collaboration with the Culture Department and other agencies to organize cultural, social, and spiritual activities in her honor.

Yadav informed the Cabinet members that the Indore-Manmad broad gauge double line, pending for decades, has been approved by the Central Cabinet for the progress of Malwa and Nimar regions of Madhya Pradesh as well as other areas. The Cabinet members congratulated Yadav for this achievement and thanked Prime Minister Shri Modi and Railway Minister Shri Vaishnav. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, while congratulating the members of the Council of Ministers for the approval of the rail project, said that the rail project costing Rs 18,036 crore will be a new lifeline for the state. An economic corridor will be developed.

The nearby districts of the state including Barwani, Dhar, Khandwa, Khargone, and Indore will be benefited. Trains will run here at a speed of 160 kilometers per hour. Districts of the entire state will benefit, which will get short-distance direct connectivity from Gwalior to Jawahar Lal Nehru Port. Aspirational districts like Rajgarh along with many tribal-dominated districts will also benefit from this. This project is a big achievement for Madhya Pradesh.

Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya also participated virtually in the meeting and expressed happiness over the approval of the rail project.

The Chief Minister informed that a Vrindavan Gram will be developed in every development block of the state. These villages will be self-reliant, clean, and pure and will have basic facilities like community halls, and public toilets. There will also be forest produce collection centers in the forest area. Villages will emerge in a new form with the use of alternative sources of energy along with animal husbandry and milk production. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Geeta Bhavans will be started in urban areas, which will also be ideological study centers. The Bhavans will have arrangements for reading etc. There will be a collection of books to give information about Indian culture and literature will be made available to the students for competitive examinations. The Urban Development and Housing Department will prepare the outline of this innovative scheme, after which the activities will start.

Yadav said that the Regional Industry Conclave is generating a large number of employment opportunities in the state. Recently, more than 4 thousand delegates and investors including 15 international delegates participated in the conclave held in Gwalior on August 28. About 400 buyer-seller meetings took place.
