People's vote will determine Haryana's future: Kumari Selja

Chandigarh: Senior Congress leader and Sirsa MP Kumari Selja on Thursday said that the day of October 5 is not just an election day but an opportunity to protect our Constitution, justice, and truth. Therefore, every voter should exercise their right to vote, as your vote will determine Haryana's future. Cast your vote in favour of Congress for the development and future of the state, she added. In a statement, Selja said that to strengthen Haryana’s development, the rights of the poor, and the voice of the marginalized, we must unite and join this fight for justice. Together, we will build a Haryana where the safety of women, employment for the youth, rights for farmers, and respect for the elderly are ensured. Kumari Selja appealed to voters to participate in strengthening democracy by voting. Your right to vote is your most crucial right. During the last 10 years of BJP rule, the public has witnessed corruption, inflation, unemployment, rising crime, and drug abuse that has torn the social fabric apart. At the same time, the people have been deprived of basic facilities such as education, healthcare, electricity, water, and roads. In this election, show the strength of your vote and show the BJP government the way out of power, she added.

Deepender Hooda urges voters to reject BJP to build new Haryana

Yamunanagar: Addressing a public meeting in the Bilaspur town of Yamunanagar district in support of Congress candidates Renu Bala and Akram Khan, Congress leader and Rohtak MP Deepender Hooda said that several parties are secretly working with BJP to undermine the Congress’ vote bank. He warned voters to beware of these “B-team” parties and independent candidates, advising them not to fall for BJP’s false promises. “BJP has achieved nothing in Haryana in the last 10 years,” Hooda claimed. “That’s why their leaders can’t discuss their accomplishments.” If the Congress forms the government, Hooda promised Rs 2,000 and subsidised LPG cylinders at Rs 500 for women through the Mahalaxmi scheme. “To strengthen social security, Rs 6,000 pension will be given to the elderly, disabled and widows. Two lakh youths will get permanent government jobs. State will be made drug-free. Every family will get 300 units of free electricity and free treatment up to Rs 25 lakh,” said Hooda.

CM Saini promises to hike MSP of paddy to Rs 3,100 per quintal

Rohtak: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has promised to hike the MSP of paddy to Rs 3,100 per quintal on coming to power in the state. He maintained that the electricity bill of families having less than Rs 1.8 lakh annual income would be reduced to zero with installation of 2 kilowatt solar power panels on their rooftops at government’s expense. Saini was addressing a public meeting in Garhi Sampla-Kiloi, the constituency of veteran Congress leader and former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, in Rohtak district today. Urging the voters to let the lotus bloom in their constituency, the Chief Minister promised them record-breaking progress in return. “You just ensure the victory of BJP candidate Manju Hooda and I will ensure unprecedented development of your Assembly segment,” he asserted.
