Jharkhand High Court (HC) stayed the publication of recently released Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) Combined Graduation Level (CGL) exam results on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, Jharkhand High Court heard a petition seeking a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission Joint Graduate Level (JSSC CGL) exam paper leak case. During the hearing, Jharkhand High Court stayed the publication of the result of General Graduate Qualification Holder Joint Competitive Examination 2023 till further orders.
The court has said that the result should not be released till the court orders. On Tuesday, the court directed the state government to register a police FIR under the Examination Conducting Act 2023 on the complaint lodged regarding the leak of JSSC CGL exam paper and submit a report after conducting an investigation.
A Public interest litigation has been filed by Rajesh Kumar in this regard. The next hearing of this case will now be held on 22 January 2025. Advocates Sanjoy Piperwal and Prince Kumar argued on behalf of JSSC. Senior advocate Ajit Kumar argued on behalf of the applicants.
A total of 2,231 candidates have been successful in the JSSC-CGL exam 2023. Document verification of these candidates was to be done from December 16 to 20. Document verification of some candidates was done on December 16. Document verification was to be done today also. But after the order of the High Court, it has been stopped.
