No development in Rohtak in last decade; BJP Govt to be out: Hooda

Rohtak: Former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Sunday alleged that the BJP Government in the State has ignored Rohtak as no development work took place in the district during its tenure. “No major industry was set up in the past decade. People in the urban areas are grappling with lack of basic amenities like potable water, roads and drainage system,” alleged the senior Congress leader, while addressing a poll meeting at Janta Colony in Rohtak. He claimed that the BJP led Haryana Government is on its way out and criminals and drug smugglers should leave the state before the Assembly poll results are declared or they have to face the heat.

Campaigning for Congress candidates in the four assembly seats of Sirsa district, he expressed concern over the drug menace, said: “Today, more deaths are taking place in Haryana due to drugs than in Punjab…The Congress Government will end this scourge.” He also hit out at the BJP Government over alleged deteriorating law-and-order situation. “Criminals and drug smugglers should leave the state before October 8 — the day of election results,” he said.

Hooda also claimed that the “hidden” alliance of the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), Haryana Lokhit Party (HLP), and Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) with the BJP has now become public.

Khattar accuses Cong of creating confusion, inciting divisions within society

Karnal: Union Power Minister and former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday accused the Congress party of creating confusion and inciting divisions within the society. Taking a dig at the Congress for not declaring its chief ministerial face ahead of assembly elections, Khattar said: “The Congress is so panicked internally that they have not even declared a chief minister face, fearing that it will lead to their party’s collapse.”

Khattar, addressing a gathering of Prabuddh Nagrik Sammelan of Nilokheri block in Taraori, claimed that the Congress is heading towards defeat as it has failed to fulfill the promises made earlier.

Cong’s ‘falsehood’ won’t work; BJP will win by heavy margin: CM Saini

Kaithal: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday said that the people know the fate of tall promises made by the Congress in Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, and Telangana, but their “falsehood” won’t work in the State. Asserting that the BJP is set to return to power in Haryana with a full majority, he said that the party will accelerate the ongoing development works. “As you can see, there is tremendous enthusiasm among the people. BJP will form government for the third time and with full majority,” said Saini, addressing a poll rally in Siwan in Kaithal district.

Savitri Jindal unveils 'Sankalp Patra', vows to revive Hisar's development

Hisar: Savitri Jindal, an independent candidate contesting from Hisar segment, on Sunday released her “Sankalp Patra”, expressing her commitment to the development of Hisar. On the social media platform X, Jindal wrote, “Today, I unveiled my manifesto for the development of Hisar with media colleagues. The dream that my father, OP Jindal, envisioned for Hisar will be realized over the next five years. We will first address the fundamental issues in Hisar, and then take the city to new heights of development.”

A former minister and one of the richest women in India, Savitri Jindal emphasized that her father's vision must be fulfilled, starting with resolving the basic problems of Hisar before moving on to broader development initiatives. During the launch of the Sankalp Patra, she was accompanied by Madhusudan Agarwal, MD and Vice Chairman of Ajanta Pharma; Mahendra Arya, former president of the All India Transport Association; and Krishna Gorakhpuriya, Chairman of Darsel.

In her Sankalp Patra, Savitri Jindal prioritized local development and basic amenities, stating that resolving fundamental issues would be her first task, followed by advancing Hisar's growth. For the upcoming elections, the BJP has fielded Dr Kamal Gupta, while the Congress has nominated Ramniwas Rada for the Hisar seat.
