Now the State Government will also renovate the pond built in less than 1 acre in Jharkhand. In the next financial year, the Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperative Department has been instructed to prepare a plan regarding private ponds.

Along with this, according to the new instructions, now during the renovation of the pond, a staircase will also be constructed from one side. These instructions were given by Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperative Minister Shilpi Neha Tirkey to the officials present during the surprise inspection of Kanke Krishi Bhawan.

At present, a plan is underway for the renovation of private ponds with a minimum area of 1 acre and a maximum area of 5 acres. With this scheme, a large number of small ponds of farmers are not being renovated.

Tirkey also talked about the department working towards fixing MSP of vegetables in the coming time. She said that traders from other states are coming and reducing the price of vegetables like cauliflower and cabbage, due to which local farmers have to suffer losses.

The Minister, who came for a surprise inspection, seemed angry about the workers and officers going on leave in Krishi Bhawan. She said that it is important to celebrate festivals from Christmas to New Year or other festivals, but care should be taken that it does not affect the work. "Today when I have reached here, 50 percent of the workers and officers are on leave for 15 to 20 days. The work culture of Government employees in Jharkhand is already messed up. It is necessary to improve it and by doing this we can complete the plans of the department on time," she said.

Tirkey said that along with spending the budget amount of the current financial year, everyone will have to get involved in the preparation of the budget of the next financial year.

The Minister also seemed surprised at the information given about organic farming during the surprise inspection. She asked how many people know about this. Regarding packaging, sorting and grading, he gave the example of JSLPS's Palash brand.

Tirkey said that when this can be done by other departments, then why not here. She also instructed to provide employment to 2 to 3 thousand local villagers in the high-tech nursery to be built by the Horticulture Department on 27 acres. She said that people migrate to other places for employment, in such a situation migration can be stopped by ensuring their employment in high tech nurseries.
