It was her chaos that made her beautiful!

Saturday, 04 January 2025 | Dr Shradha Suman

Every woman is a complicated mix of thousands of emotions difficult, confusing, sometimes smart, other times vulnerable, empowering as well as emphatic at times..... It's her chaos that makes her beautiful. Her innate immunity to change in life, her capacity to adjust and accept everything despite the turmoil within makes her who she is. She's aware of her weaknesses and often oblivious of her strength that's inside of her.

Healing is not only an outcome, but in fact a process with its own characteristic mechanisms, one that needs to be understood in its own right—and that emotions are at the core of psychological healing. If we consider the neurobiological and physiological mechanisms involved behind recovery from an emotionally disturbed state, we would be surprised to observe that most of these mechanisms can be voluntarily controlled. The effects can be modified by what psychologists call as will power and determination. And we physiologists and neuro biologists who study the neurotransmitter levels know for certain that we can regulate moods and behavior with simple daunting day activities which become a part of therapy involved in treatment of these mental health disorders.

I'm specific about women in these cases because the world labels us emotional fools. Not knowing what to do or not deciding things are a part of the social obligations which have been made by society which is primarily male dominated. I'm proud to be a bag of emotions and feelings, because I'm human and full of hormones, which is normal biology.

The healing power of emotions makes a woman beautiful. She goes through every mental change right from birth, though her lifetime till she dies. Most women in our society have been trained mentally to expect least for their "services" to the family. The role of emotion in bodily regulation, dissociation, trauma, transformation, marital communication, play, well-being, health, creativity, and social engagement exists in and sometimes all a woman does is shed tears... Of joy, anger, sorrow, despair, rejection, pride.....

Yes it's okay not to be okay. It's okay to cry. It's okay to throw tantrums and it's okay to live in the edge. Just because every time we think rationally there is a little girl whispering," You are not alone woman and think of the repercussions it would have."

That's because she cares. That's makes her beautiful. An emotional wreck... she's forever disturbed... Her chaos makes her who she is

"You are beautiful the way you are.... "
