Professor (Dr) Ajai Singh, Executive Director, AIIMS Bhopal, today inaugurated the first conference of the Central Zone Association of Clinical Biochemists in India (CZACBICON 2024).

Expressing his views on this occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Singh said that some good things will emerge from the discussion in this workshop which will promote patient care. He emphasized upon the concept of collaborative research started by

AIIMS Bhopal and interacting with students and researchers and try to do something new from the questions arising in the young minds. He called upon the participants to look at the best quality equipment available in translational medicine and precision medicine centers at AIIMS Bhopal and try to do multi-centric research work so that patients can get better health facilities.

Earlier, while welcoming the attendees, Professor (Dr.) Jagat R Kanwar, Head of the Department of Biochemistry, also threw light on the theme of this conference, which is Innovations in Clinical Biochemistry. The vote of thanks was given by Dr Sukhes Mukherjee, Organizing Secretary CZACBICON -2024.

The Scientific session started with the theme of Innovation in clinical biochemistry and applications in healthcare. The keynote speaker of the session was Dr D.M.Vasudevan. Other speakers were Dr Kannan Vaidyanathan, Dr Bhawna Bhimte, Dr K. G. Raghu, Dr Priyadip Das, Dr Mithun Roy. Several students gave the oral presentation. The conference had more than 150 registrations from all over the country. The Department of Biochemistry celebrated the foundation day along with the academic feast.

The day one of the conference ended with an academic extravaganza followed by cultural program and gala dinner.
