A fake vigilance inspector has been caught by the railway team at Rani Kamlapati railway station.
The accused wanted to stay in the VIP lounge of the railway and avail VIP facilities like free tea, breakfast and food. Due to this, he started to entertain the railway employees by pretending to be a Railway Board Vigilance Inspector, but when the employees got suspicious, they informed the railway officials about the matter.
After this, when the youth was questioned and asked for other documents including the ID card, the youth confessed that he was doing this for VIP facilities.
GRP has registered a case in this matter. According to railway officials, an ID card of a college in Ahmedabad, Gujarat was also found from the youth. In which it was written that he was an MBA student. The incident took place late Friday night.
Bhopal Railway Division Public Relations Officer Naval Agarwal said that the person directly reached the Chief Ticket Inspection Office and claimed that he was a Vigilance Inspector of the Railway Board.
He said that he has to go to Ahmedabad for a secret operation by train number 19484 Barauni-Ahmedabad Express and till then the VIP lounge should be opened for him. After staying in the VIP lodge, the youth demanded facilities like tea, snacks and food from the staff there. In such a situation, the staff of the lodge informed Chief Ticket Inspector Anirudh Soni and other stops. After this, when they questioned the youth, the matter came to light.
Chief Ticket Inspector Anirudh Soni and Ticket Inspector Surya Prakash Sharma became suspicious of his activities. When they asked him for his mobile number, he refused to give the mobile citing confidential tour. They asked his name, secretly took his photo and contacted Railway Board Vigilance Department and Railway Central Ticket Inspection Team to confirm the authenticity of this person. It was confirmed from both the places that this person is not a part of the vigilance department. Immediately, Chief Ticket Inspector Anirudh Soni informed the station manager, Railway Protection Force and senior officials about this matter. RPF Sub Inspector Yogendra Singh called Assistant Sub Inspector Brajmohan Tiwari and interrogated him strictly where he confessed his crime.
