Chief Electoral Officer, Jharkhand, K. Ravi Kumar said that during the assembly elections, the enforcement agency should work diligently to impose a complete ban on illegal activities, it will be monitored at every level. He said that to conduct clean, fair and peaceful voting, the officers engaged in the work of the election should follow the instructions given by the Election Commission of India. He was addressing the training session organized through online medium for the officials of FST and SST constituted for the upcoming assembly elections in all the districts today.
Kumar said that in the assembly elections, all FST and FST have to keep a close watch on the cases of illegal election expenditure and MCC violation. He said that the officers of FST and SST have to work in coordination with the contact information given by their nearest police station and headquarters level. During the election, every vehicle will be checked at all the check posts. Also, all the check posts will be monitored through webcasting. No negligence of any kind will be tolerated at the check post, prompt action will be taken against the officer who is negligent.
The CEO said that by deputing CAPF as per the requirement in all the check posts, the movement of banned materials like illegal liquor, illegal cash, weapons etc. which can affect the election has to be completely stopped during the election. For this, all the officers should take action by complying with their duties and rights.
On this occasion, Assistant Chief Electoral Officer Dev Das Dutta made the officers aware of the duties of FST and SST and miking, communication plan, C-Vigil etc. related to ethical voting. At the same time, System Analyst S.N. Jameel gave detailed information about the installation and implementation of mobile applications used by FST and SST.
