Even after election, JMM is afraid of Himanta: BJP

Sunday, 08 December 2024 | PNS | Ranchi

BJP's State spokesperson Vijay Chaurasia has hit back at JMM General Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya's statement and said that the fear of Himanta Biswa Sharma is still not gone from JMM's mind and the party people still see him in their dreams.

Chaurasia said that JMM should focus on the promises made to the public and not on baseless statements. JMM General Secretary should remember that Himanta Biswa Sharma is the Chief Minister of a state and the JMM General Secretary should first reach that level and then make such statements.

Chaurasia also said that they have got the power as the public has given them majority, so JMM should not be too arrogant but follow political decorum.

The BJP spokesperson while advising JMM, said that the law and order of the entire State is in shambles, crime is at its peak and the public is crying for help. The women of the State are wandering from office to office for Maiya Samman, but no one is listening. In the name of electricity bill waiver, the tariff of electricity is being increased while electricity connections are being cut from the houses of the poor. Chaurasia said that JMM is engaged in making baseless statements instead of paying attention to the promises made to the people of the State and that it should focus on fulfilling its promises made during the elections.

Chaurasia said that it is JMM General Secretary's personal matter to give orders and instructions to ministers like the Chief Minister. But they should also take care of parliamentary decorum. Chaurasia said that public work should be done because even though this alliance has got the majority, their past record has been very painful. Last time also they had made 400 promises to the people of the State in their manifesto, out of which they did not fulfill even four promises.

Chaurasia said whether the JMM general secretary remembers it or not but they had promised to give government jobs to one lakh youths every year as soon as they formed the government. Five years have passed and they have not given government jobs but shrouds in the name of jobs. He said that youths who do not get jobs will be given an unemployment allowance of five to seven thousand rupees per month, five years have passed but they have not given this. JMM had promised that every housewife will be given two thousand rupees for cooking, five years have passed and they have not given expenses to even four housewives.

Chaurasia said that similarly four hundred promises were made in their manifesto but did not fulfill any of them. This time they have again got the public's vote. The public is suspicious that this government may repeat its previous record.

Chaurasia said that the way there seems to be a lack of coordination among the coalition parties of this government, it is natural for the people of the State to be afraid. The way different lists were released in the distribution of departments of their ministers, it can be easily understood how harmoniously this government will work.
