Special Police Establishment of Lokayukta team has caught a clerk of Directorate of Public Instruction (DPI) on Friday afternoon while accepting a bribe of Rs 25,000. The accused was demanding Rs 80,000 from a government teacher by threatening to get him transferred to a rural area.
On the request of the complainant, he agreed to take the bribe amount in three installments. The complainant teacher complained about this to Lokayukta. Action was taken after verifying the complaint.
According to Lokayukta police, complainant Vikram Singh Pachwariya is posted in Jan Shikshak Government High School, Parwalia Road Bhopal. He lives in village Mugalia Haat Parwalia Road.
Recently, he had given a written complaint application to Lokayukta. It was told that the accused Vishwaraj Singh Bais alias Vicky Bais (44) is an assistant grade-3 employee.
He is posted in Education Department (Law Branch) Directorate of Public Instruction Gautam Nagar Office. He was demanding Rs 80,000 by threatening to get him transferred for a long time. The complaint was verified.
After which on Friday afternoon the accused was arrested red handed from his office while taking a bribe of Rs. 25,000.
In this case Lokayukta has registered an FIR. The accused called the complainant on Friday afternoon after lunch to take the bribe amount.
According to which the complainant reached with the Lokayukta team to give the bribe amount. As soon as the accused took the money, he was taken into custody.
The accused used to threaten and misbehave under the influence of alcohol.
The complainant Vikram Singh Pachwariya said that the accused used to call under the influence of alcohol and abuse. He used to call every day and threaten. He used to threaten to transfer him out of the city if he did not obey. He tolerated the acts of the accused for ten months. Fed up, he complained recently. After the complaint, he was caught red handed and trapped.
