Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU), Jabalpur, known for its dedication to academic excellence and holistic development, has taken a significant step forward in enhancing its academic standards through a new collaboration. DNLU inks a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bennett University on June 20, 2024, at a ceremony held at Bennett University's campus in Noida.
Established in year 2018 under the Madhya Pradesh Dharmashastra National Law University Act, 2018, DNLU aims to advance legal education and uphold the rule of law as per the Indian Constitution. Guided by Hon’ble Judge of Supreme Court of India Justice JK Maheshwari as its Visitor, Acting Chief Justice of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh Justice Sheel Nagu as its Chancellor, and Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Sinha as its Vice-Chancellor, DNLU offers B.A. LLB (Hons.), LLM, and PhD programs. The Bennett University has been established under the Bennett University, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh Act, 2016. Extending the core journalistic principles of Trust, Knowledge and Public Service, Bennett, Coleman and Co. Ltd. (BCCL) established over 178 years ago, has continually undertaken initiatives for the betterment of Indian society.
The group established its footprint in education sector by launching Bennett University with multi-disciplinary education to make students life and industry ready.
Prof. (Dr.) Ajith Abraham serves as the Vice Chancellor. During the last 25 years, Prof. Abraham has authored/ co-authored more than 1,400+ research publications with more than 56,000 academic citations. He has given more than 200 plenary lectures and conference tutorials in more than 20 countries. He was the Chair of the IEEE Systems, Man and Cybernetics Society Technical Committee on Soft Computing which has over more than 200 members, from 2008 to 2021. He was
the Editor-in-Chief of Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence (EAAI), from 2016 to 2021. He serves/served on the editorial board for over 15 international journals indexed by Thomson ISI. He served as a Distinguished Lecturer for the IEEE Computer Society Representing Europe, from 2011 to 2013.
Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Kulshreshtha serves as Dean to School of Law. Prof Kulushresta is the senior academician with over 30+ years of extensive expertise in academic affairs, legal research & advisory services. He has authored 15 books, 35 research papers and conference papers. He has successfully guided three PhD scholars. Before joining Bennett University, he has served as Dean, Sharda School of Law, Sharda University, Greater Noida, Professor & Dean, School of Law KR Mangalam University, Gurugram.
Expressing gratitude for the partnership Prof. Sinha highlighted the enduring benefits that this collaboration would bring to both the institutions. He underscored the importance of collective efforts between DNLU and Bennett University in fostering growth and knowledge sharing.
