Jharkhand Director General of Police (DGP) Anurag Gupta has suspended Varun Yadav, In-Charge of Chandil police station in Seraikela. This action has been taken on the basis of the CID report.
The DGP had already warned that if any policeman misbehaves with the general public, strict action will be taken against him.
Gupta had ordered the DIG and SP of all the districts that the station in-charge and policemen should behave well with the public. For this, guidelines have also been issued to all the police stations of the state.
The DGP said that immediate action should be taken in cases related to cyber crime, SC/ST, human trafficking and crimes against women. On receiving the application of any victim, his complaint should be registered without delay, no matter which area the case is from, he said.
Gupta also said that if any police station in-charge does not pay attention to the complaints of the public, then people can register their complaints with senior officials. Officials have been instructed to make such arrangements.
