The commissioning of EVM-VVPAT machines for the upcoming 2024 Assembly Elections is currently underway at the dispatch center located at DAV Ispat Public School, Sector 08 B, Bokaro. District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner, Vijaya Jadhav, conducted an inspection of the commissioning process on Monday.
During her visit, the DEO directed all officials present to follow the Election Commission's guidelines rigorously, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of the commissioning process.
As part of preparations for the Assembly Elections scheduled for November 20, 2024, the machines are being commissioned and sealed constituency-wise. Trained officials and employees have been assigned for the task, ensuring a seamless process. On this day, the commissioning of EVMs and VVPATs for the 34 Gomia Assembly constituency was completed.
The commissioning of EVM-VVPAT machines will continue in a phased manner until November 15, 2024. Present at the inspection were Returning Officer (RO) and Assistant Commissioner Mumtaz Ansari, EVM Nodal Officer Safique Alam, and Piyush, along with other officials.
