A comprehensive review meeting was chaired by District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner (DM/DC) Ananya Mittal on Tuesday at the Collectorate Auditorium, Jamshedpur. The meeting assessed the progress of various schemes sanctioned under the Untied Fund, CSR, MP and MLA Fund, DMFT, Tourism, and Art Culture Sports Department. The DM/DC emphasized the district administration's commitment to completing all sanctioned schemes on time, warning against delays or negligence.
During the review, show-cause notices were issued to the Executive Engineer of NREP and the Executive Engineer of the Building Division for laxity in implementing development works.
Untied Fund: Out of 24 schemes approved for 2022-23, 22 have been completed, with 02 still pending. In 2023-24, 68 of 80 schemes were completed, and in 2024-25, 35 of 38 were finished. The DM/DC instructed officials to expedite the pending schemes and take strict action, including canceling agreements with negligent contractors. Coordination with Circle Officers was advised to resolve land-related issues.
CSR Fund: The Civil Surgeon was directed to utilize the allocated funds by 15th January to strengthen the health system in UCIL mining areas, complete community buildings, install high mast lights, and improve pathways. Out of 11 approved schemes, 05 have been completed.
MP and MLA Fund: Officials were instructed to prioritize and complete these schemes within stipulated timelines.
Tourism and Art Culture, Sports Department: Out of 16 approved schemes, 8 involve the construction of football stadiums. Significant progress has been made in Chakulia (Maidabandh) and Jamshedpur (Sarjamda), while work in other locations, including Patamda, Dhalbhumgarh, Gudabanda, and Baharagora, is ongoing.
The DM/DC expressed dissatisfaction with delays in operationalizing boating services at Burudih Dam due to technical issues. He instructed the SDO, Executive Engineer Special Division, and District Sports Officer to resolve the matter promptly in coordination with the implementing agency.
Additionally, the District Sports Officer was tasked with preparing a detailed proposal for a Multi-Sports Facility Centre in the Ghatsila subdivision to nurture rural sports talent.
The meeting was attended by Director NEP Santosh Garg, District Planning Officer Arun Dwivedi, and engineers from various technical departments. The DM/DC reiterated the administration's commitment to ensuring timely implementation and high standards in all development works.
