Congress holds massive protest at Raj Bhawan on Manipur, Adani issue

Thursday, 19 December 2024 | PNS | Ranchi

On the instruction of All India Congress Committee (AICC), in protest against saving Adani and his associates and ignoring the ongoing violence in Manipur, a Raj Bhavan March was organised by Jharkhand Pradesh Congress from Shaheed Sthal to Raj Bhavan.

The march was held under the leadership of State Congress President Keshav Mahato Kamlesh in Jharkhand where the march turned into a rally.

Addressing the rally, Kamlesh said that the Central Government is completely silent on the Adani and Manipur issue. "Our leaders are continuously raising both the issues in the House. Congress is continuously demanding peace in Manipur but Modi  is silent. The fraud of Adani and his associates has been exposed, bribery has been exposed but till date the Central Government has not felt the need to give clarification in front of the public on this matter," he added.

"The way Manipur is burning, violence is happening continuously, curfew is imposed but till date the Prime Minister has not gone there, the Prime Minister is silent on both the issues, the Chief Minister of that place has also proved to be a failure in this matter but instead of removing him, the Prime Minister is protecting him. It seems that Modi does not consider Manipur as a part of India, that is why he is completely silent on this matter," said the party Chief.

Congress Legislative Party leader Pradeep Yadav said that this is the voice of the public that the Prime Minister and the Home Minister should answer their questions. "In the last 1 year, Amit Shah has come to Jharkhand dozens of times but Manipur has been burning for years, murders, rapes are taking place, constitutional values are being killed but the Home Minister is not getting time to go there, the Prime Minister is silent. The Prime Minister is touring the whole world but Manipur is not visible. This is a big incident in this democracy. The Adani case is completely in front of the public but to save Adani, Modi is tarnishing India's reputation in front of the world," he added.

Congress Legislative Party Deputy Leader Rajesh Kachhap said that Modi has probably forgotten that the Constitution has given this strength that Modi ji could become the Prime Minister today while selling tea. "If Modi goes out to save Adani, the public will throw him out of the car. Under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, we have to strengthen ourselves, surely an incident like Manipur will not happen under the leadership of Congress. If we do not live with seriousness, then the rule of capitalists will come to the Country and we have achieved independence by fighting with such capitalists for 200 years," he added.

The State Finance Minister Radha Krishna Kishore said that if any political party or person insults Ambedkar then it is not an insult of one person but an insult of the whole of India and such a party which insults India cannot be a political party of any democratic system. "If there is any such party in India, then it is BJP. The economic and social equality that was imagined in the country through the Constitution is coming to an end. Congress will not tolerate the misdeeds of Modi at all," he added.

Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari said that the public has made up its mind to remove the Modi Government from power. "If India did not have the Constitution written by Baba Saheb, then today the minorities, tribals, and backward people would have been marginalized. The Constitution has given rights to every citizen of the country and the BJP is bent on insulting Baba Saheb, the father of this Constitution. The country is running on the orders of Adani but the Country will run by the Constitution and not by Modi's law. By ignoring Manipur, Modi is trying to weaken the borders of the Country," he added.

MLAs in the Raj Bhavan march- Suresh Baitha, Naman Vixal Kongadi, Bhushan Bada, Sweta Singh, Ramchandra Singh, Mamta Devi, former State President Dr. Pradeep Kumar Balmuchu, former Union Minister Subodhkant Sahay, former Minister Badal Patralekh, Yogendra Sao, Shahzada Anwar, Office Incharge OBC State President Abhilash Sahu, Rajan Verma, Media Incharge Rakesh Sinha were present on the occasion.
