CM to distribute second instalment of JMMSY on eve of Karma Festival

On the eve of Karam festival, CM Hemant Soren will transfer the second installment to the bank accounts of more than 45 lakh women of the state under the Jharkhand Chief Minister Mainiya Samman Yojana from the holy land of Luguburu Ghantabari Dhorom Gadh, Lalpania, Bokaro.

Earlier, the first installment has been transferred by the Chief Minister in various phases. So far, 48,15,048 women have been registered to give the benefit of the scheme. 45,36,597 women have been covered by the honour amount so far. The Chief Minister has given the order to send the honour amount to the account of every sister by the 15th of every month.

After the order of the Chief Minister and the approval of the State Council of Ministers, now the initiative has started to connect the daughters of 18 to 20 years of age of the state with Jharkhand Chief Minister Mainiya Samman Yojana. Soon they will also start receiving the honour amount. It is known that till now there was a provision to connect women of 21 to 50 years of age with the scheme. Applications for Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Mainiya Samman Yojana started from 03 August 2024. On 04 August 2024, the Chief Minister removed the problem in submitting online applications and ordered to take offline applications.

For the first time under the scheme, on August 18, more than 80 thousand women of Pakur were transferred the funds, on August 22, more than 2.50 lakh women of Latehar, Medininagar and Garhwa of Palamu division, on August 24, more than 13 lakh 94 thousand women of Ramgarh, Hazaribagh, Chatra, Koderma, Giridih, Dhanbad and Bokaro districts of North Chotanagpur, on August 27, more than 07 lakh 32 thousand women of Deoghar, Godda, Pakur, Sahebganj, Dumka and Jamtara of Santhal Pargana, on August 28, more than 07 lakh 32 thousand women of East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum and Saraikela-Kharsawan of Kolhan division, on September 04, Rs 70 crore 50 lakh have been transferred to the bank accounts of more than 07 lakh women of Ranchi, Khunti, Simdega, Gumla and Lohardaga of South Chotanagpur.

Meanwhile, in another development, Chief General Manager of Jharkhand Regional Office NABARD, SK Jahagirdar met Chief Minister Hemant Soren today. During the meeting, he told the Chief Minister that the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) is committed to the development of rural infrastructure in the state. He had a detailed discussion with the Chief Minister regarding organizing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing program soon between the state government and NABARD.

Jahagirdar told the Chief Minister that after the completion of the MoU signing program, additional funds will be provided by NABARD for the development of rural infrastructure in the state on priority. On this occasion, Chief Minister Hemant Soren also released the book "NABARD in Jharkhand". This book contains complete details of the development work done by NABARD in the state in the financial year 2023-24. Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Avinash Kumar, General Manager of Jharkhand Regional Office NABARD Gautam Kumar Singh and others were present on the occasion.
