Chief Minister Champai Soren on Monday said that at present women are not dependent but self-reliant and independent in every matter. Now women are able to do everything equal to men. There are countless inspiring examples of women in our country among all of us. Our women sisters and daughters have made invaluable contributions in many fields including social reform, politics, economy, education, science and research, business, sports and armed forces. Our hardworking sisters and daughters of Jharkhand are making important contributions to the economy of the state as well as the economic development of the country. Today, from this platform, I would like to appeal to all the women self-help group sisters present here that you should recognize your talent and move forward with confidence. This government will always stand with you at every step and in every situation. Just as the government led by former Chief Minister Hemant Soren stood with you didis, in the same way we too will stand with you in all your sorrows and happiness. I have come today to assure all of you that there will be no laxity in any way from your state government. Chief Minister Champai Soren said these things while addressing the program "State Level Exposure and Capacity Building Camp-cum-Women Mahasammelan of Sakhi Mandal Women" organized at Morhabadi Maidan today.

The Chief Minister said that our society gives important importance to the contribution of women. This conference is an important step for women's respect and equality in society. The Chief Minister said that we need to understand that women are the cornerstone of our society and without their contribution our society is incomplete. The Chief Minister said that in the last 4 years, under the leadership of former Chief Minister Hemant Soren, the Rural Development Department is continuously implementing development related schemes in the state through Sakhi Mandal. Also, work is being done with commitment to empower women. The Chief Minister said that since the year 2019 till now, Rs 8 thousand 247 crore has been made available to about 1 lakh 40 thousand SHG groups through bank credit linkage. Phool Jhano Ashirwad Yojana has also emerged as an important scheme. Through this scheme, women associated with the liquor business are being linked with respectable employment. Identified women are being given interest free loans of up to Rs 50 thousand for alternative employment. So far, more than 33000 women in the state have taken advantage of this scheme and started a respectable life. Women are the pivot of the rural economy. Our government is moving ahead with the aim of including the state in the category of developed states by empowering women.
