A.S. Rajeev, Vigilance Commissioner from Government of India, visited Bokaro today. He was accompanied by S.N. Gupta, Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL). On his arrival at Bokaro Niwas, Rajeev was accorded a Guard of Honour by CISF personnel.
As part of his visit, Rajeev first toured the model room at the Steel Building in Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) to gain insights into the plant’s layout and production processes. He was briefed by S.N. Gupta, along with Birendra Kumar Tiwari, Director-in-Charge of BSL, and other senior officials including Gyanesh Jha, ACVO of BSL.
Following this, the Vigilance Commissioner, along with SAIL's Chief Vigilance Officer, visited key production units of the Bokaro Steel Plant, including the Coke Ovens, Blast Furnace, SMS-II & CCS, Hot Strip Mill, and Cold Rolling Mill-III. During the visit, they received detailed explanations of the production processes at these facilities.
Before departing from Bokaro in the afternoon, A.S. Rajeev met with senior officials of BSL at Bokaro Niwas. In a separate meeting, SAIL’s Chief Vigilance Officer, S.N. Gupta, also interacted with the vigilance officers from BSL and SRU, discussing matters pertinent to the vigilance department.
