The CBSE Regional Level Science Exhibition, organized by CBSE and hosted at DPS Ranchi, concluded successfully with a display of scientific innovation and creativity. The concluding ceremony was graced by Dr. Ashok Kumar, Principal, DAV Alok Public School. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 32 schools across Patna Region (Jharkhand State only). The exhibition held on the 22nd and 23rd of November 2024, showcased the scientific endeavours of students in two categories: Classes VI to VIII and Classes IX to XI. The participants explored diverse themes, reflecting the depth of scientific curiosity. The five themes for the exhibition included Food, Health and Hygiene, Transport and Communication, Natural Farming, Disaster Management, Mathematical Modelling and Computational Thinking, Waste Management and Resource Management.
Out of the 32 participating schools, 13 schools from both the categories emerged as winners, qualifying for the National Level of the exhibition, scheduled to be held in Delhi. The team of DPS, Chas (Bokaro), DAV Public School (Ranchi), Sant Nand Lal Smriti Vidya Mandir (Ghatsila), Chinmaya Vidyalaya (Bokaro), MGM Higher Secondary School (Bokaro), Sharda Global School (Ranchi), Guru Gobind Singh Public School, (Bokaro), Sachidanand Gyan Bharti Model School, (Ranchi), Delhi Public School, SAIL Township (Ranchi), SR DAV Public School (Ranchi), DAV Public School (Bariatu) qualified for the Nationals. These schools demonstrated exceptional prowess in addressing the exhibition's themes and meeting the stringent assessment criteria.
Addressing the students, Dr. Ashok Kumar, Principal, DAV Alok Public School, said, "Every project here is a testament to your curiosity and hard work. Remember, success is not just about winning but also about the journey of exploration and learning. You have taken a significant step towards shaping the future, and I encourage you to continue this pursuit of knowledge with the same passion and commitment".
Dr. R.K.Jha, Principal, DPS Ranchi also spoke, commending the collaborative spirit among the participating schools. He said, “The exhibition is an excellent example of active learning, a cornerstone for successful learning that grooms children to be future-ready learners for life. These academic activities are wonderful tools that engage all students and teachers in learning new facts and help them develop curiosity to learn more using knowledge and bringing out the best from them”.
