With the aim of simplifying the process of submitting certificates for pensioners, the Central Bank of India organised the Digital Life Certificate (DLC) Campaign 3.0 in the state capital on Wednesday.
The campaign was conducted in accordance with the guidelines of the Department of Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions (DoPPW), New Delhi.
Through the campaign, the Central Bank of India is facilitating pensioners in submitting their life certificates digitally, ensuring greater transparency and convenience in their services.
The nationwide campaign for digital life certificates is being run for retired government pensioners. Under this scheme, launched by the central government, all retired pensioners across the country will now be able to benefit.A pensioners' camp was organised at the Central Bank of India’s TT Nagar New Market branch in Bhopal as part of the campaign, which commenced on 6th November.
Sonika Khattar, Additional Secretary of the Department of Pensions and Pensioners' Welfare, New Delhi, inaugurated the camp.Senior officials, including SLBC General Manager Tarsem Singh Jheera, Deputy Regional Head of Bhopal Darshan Singh Dhingra, and Branch Manager Mrignayani Chauhan, along with other staff and pensioners, were present at the event.
Explaining details of the scheme, officials said that facial recognition technology has been implemented for life certificate submission, similar to the Aadhaar system.
This technology now enables pensioners to submit their digital life certificates through any Android smartphone.They said awareness camps are being held from 1st to 30th November in 800 cities/districts across the country to benefit pensioners in remote areas.
In Bhopal, the Central Bank of India organised special camps at five locations for this digital life certificate campaign: TT Nagar Branch, Arera Hills Branch, Gulmohar Colony Branch, Saket Nagar Branch, and Arera Colony Branch. A total of 570 digital certificates have been submitted so far.
