Int’l Gita Mahotsav to be held from Nov 28 to Dec 15
Chandigarh: The International Gita Mahotsav will be organised in Kurukshetra from November 28 to December 15. An official spokesperson said the Mahotsav this year will be celebrated with great pomp and show and the main programmes will be organised from December 5 to 11. Extensive arrangements will be made for traffic management. This year, Tanzania will be the partner country and Odisha will be the partner state.
Haryana CM honours representatives of Dom Community
Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Monday felicitated representatives of the Dom community from across the state at his residence, here. He joined the community representatives for lunch and inquired about their well-being. Saini said that the state government is committed to support every poor individual and community in the state and under the Sant-Mahapurusha Vichar Samman and Prachar Prasar Yojana, a state-level program for the entire Dom community will be organized. Furthermore, he stated that a Dharamshala will be constructed at any location the Dom community chooses within the state.
CM Saini to chair meeting of Gurugram District Public Relations and Grievances Committee
Chandigarh: The Haryana Government on Monday issued a fresh notification for the appointment of Chairman of District Public Relations and Grievances Committees. According to the notification issued by the Chief Secretary's Office, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has been appointed as the Chairman of Gurugram District Public Relations and Grievances Committee. Similarly, Energy Minister Anil Vij has been appointed as the Chairman of District Public Relations and Grievances Committees of Kaithal and Sirsa.
Hry Govt aims to include Gurugram among India's top 10 Cities: Minister
Chandigarh: Haryana Industries and Commerce, Environment, Forests and Wildlife Minister, Rao Narbir Singh on Monday said that the present government aims at including Gurugram among India's top 10 cities. During the meeting, several crucial points related to the Municipal Corporation, HSIIDC, HSVP and the Pollution Control Board were discussed. The Minister while chairing a review meeting with the officers of the Municipal Corporation of Manesar and Gurugram, directed them to ensure high-quality construction at minimal cost. He further directed the officers to ensure making the city encroachment and polythene free.
