Orientation Program at IIIT Ranchi
IIIT Ranchi organised an orientation program for the first-year B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D students on Tuesday. The program began with an introduction by the Associate Dean Academics and Faculty Affairs, Dr. Jaideep Pati, the Dean Research and Development, Dr. Santosh Kumar Mahato, and the Dean Student Affairs, Dr. Jitendra Kumar Mishra provided the new students with information about the various departments, facilities and achievements of the institute. Dr. Noopur shared information about the Training and Placements Cell, Dr. Shadab Hassan discussed Outreach Activities of the institute and Dr. Rishikesh Tiwari provided insights related to campus administration. Director Rajeev Srivastava, while addressing the students emphasised on the importance of skill-building and upgrading technical skills and also stated that students should not only excel academically but also strive to become good human beings.
Recertification of 𝐈𝐒𝐎 37001:2016 ABMS
CMPDI (HQ), Ranchi had been Recertified with the Licence of 𝐈𝐒𝐎 37001:2016 Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS) after the audit of Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS) measures adopted by CMPDI to eliminate the potential risks of bribery at CMPDI (HQ), Ranchi by Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). The Licence is valid till 17th January, 2027. It is pertinent to mention here that, CMPDI was first recognized with ISO 37001:2016 certification in the year 2021. The certifications has been provided in respect of, “Prevention, detection and response to bribery for all activities of mineral exploration, mine planning and design, environment management, management systems, allied engineering, provision of human resource trainings, internal support services for employees and other business processes, including all associated laboratories of CMPDI(HQ), Ranchi”.
SBPS students shine at Young Thinkers’ Conclave
The students of Sarala Birla Public School, Ranchi left their indelible mark in the Silver Jubilee Commemorative Young Thinkers’ Conclave organised by Mayo College, Ajmer. Prajnashree Hota of Std. XI was accorded with the Best speaker (prelims) award in the Multi-format English debate. Prince Vyas of Std. IX, Nishka Raj and Prajnashree Hota of Std. XI received the Best Adaptation Award in English Dramatics. Rohini Raj, Nishka Raj and Prajnashree Hota of Std. XI were awarded the 3rd Best Delegation in English Creative Writing. Principal, Paramjit Kaur, lauded the exceptional performance of the students and appreciated their dedication and consistency in keeping the school’s flag fly high.
