AMIT SHAH TO VISIT ODISHA ON APR 25
Bhubaneswar: Union Minister of Home Affairs Amit Shah would arrive in Sonepur town of Subarnapur district on April 25, a BJP State leader informed on Sunday. He is to address a huge public gathering in Sonepur in the afternoon as part of the BJP’s electioneering ahead of the General Elections. From there, Shah would proceed to Bhubaneswar and take part in a discussion with senior BJP State leaders. He would stay in Bhubaneswar at night and return to New Delhi the next morning.
GOVT ANNOUNCES SCHOOL SUMMER VACATION FROM APR 25
Bhubaneswar: In view of the prevailing intense heat wave conditions across Odisha, the State Government on Sunday declared summer vacation in all schools for students from April 25. Besides, based on the weather forecast, the government has decided to conduct morning classes for students for the next three days. As per the order, the morning classes will be held in all government and private schools from 6.30 am to 10.30 am between April 22 and 24.
POLICE RED CROSS’ WATER KIOSKS OPENED IN CITY
Bhubaneswar: As the temperature is soaring, in a bid to provide service to the commuters, the Indian Red Cross Society, Regional branch of the Commissionerate Police has opened two water kiosks in front of the Capital and the Kharavel Nagar police stations. The kiosks were inaugurated by Commissionerate Police Red Cross chairman and Commissioner of Police Sanjeeb Panda. During the inauguration, Bhubaneswar DCP Prateek Singh, Zone 1 ACP Subhrakant Muduli and Red Cross executive committee member Dillip Dashsharma were present.
